Food Blogger Creates "McEverything' Sandwich After Ordering All 43 on the McDonald's Menu
A food blogger walked into McDonald's with one thing on his mind, to try every sandwich in one shot, and he would call this monstrosity, the "McEverything."
Nick Chipman said he first came up with the idea for a sandwich that had all 43 McDonald's varieties a few years ago when he launched his blog. According to Shine Food, he was never able to go through with it because he feared he would annoy employees.
"I felt like if I went to into McDonald's and ordered every single sandwich, they would hate me," he told Yahoo Shine.
Hailing from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Chipman finally mustered up the courage to go through with his tremendous order. He went in at 10 a.m., a time he strategically planned as after the morning rush, and at a period where he would be able to order both breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
"I'm happy to report that the entire crew at the McDonald's…was more than accommodating. They even seemed a little excited to see just how tall the McEverything turned out to be," he blogged.
The four foot high mountain of meat, buns, and cheese was then attached to a skewer to make a shish kebab of epic proportions. All together the meal cost him $141.33 with the extra dollar coming from a health conscious choice to get a Diet Coke.
The order impressively took two employees 20 minutes to throw together.
"I poked my head into the back a few times and apologized, but they were awesome," he said according to Yahoo.
At the restaurant, Chipman ate three of the breakfast sandwiches and then took the rest home filling his refrigerator and preventing his wife from buying groceries.
"The best part was that my wife planned to go grocery shopping later that same day and she texted me saying, 'Ummmmmm, we don't have any room for groceries since the entire refrigerator is full of McDonald's sandwiches,'" he said in a follow-up to Shine.
Chipman also reported he was in good health, and that people scolding him for dropping so much money at McDonald's should not worry because his next couple of meals are covered.
