Food for the Hungry Continues Ministry in Bolivia

Bolivia— After months of waiting for the political uprising in Bolivia to subside, Food for the Hungry team members will re-deploy staff members to the recovering nation.

As the protests elevated, the FH missionaries to Bolivia relocated safely to a neighboring country; the five weeks of protests to oust president the resulted in over 65 deaths and 300 injuries. The current president, Carlos Mesa, who stepped into office last Friday, began examining the protest killings this week.

The FH team, who will return later this week, plans to continue their ministry work though community development programs.
