Francesca Eastwood Death Threats After Destroying $100,000 Birkin Bag
Francesca Eastwood, star of E! reality TV show "Mrs. Eastwood and Company," and her photographer boyfriend Tyler Shields have come under fire over a bag burning incident that was allegedly created in the name of art.
The 18-year-old daughter of legendary actor Clint Eastwood has reportedly received death threats after posting photos which show her destroying a $100,000 luxury hand bag for artistic purposes on Shields' personal website, according to TMZ.
"Destruction is a beautiful version of freedom…Would you want this bag? Are you sad to see me destroy it?" Eastwood wrote alongside the controversial photos.
The red crocodile skin hand bag was first cut in half with a chainsaw, and eventually lit on fire. While Eastwood was delighted to ruin the famous handbag, members of the public took to tylershields.com to vent their anger.
"I struggle everyday to put food on the table, and raise my three kids on my own...to see people behave this way is disgusting. $100K feeds a lot of hungry mouths...," one "Guest" user wrote.
"Spoiled rich kids...never had to work for anything apparently," Liz wrote.
"You should be ashamed of yourself! maybe eat a big piece of humble pie for a change tyler! you need it," Jennifer wrote.
Birkin handbags are among some of the most expensive hand bags in the world and are usually flaunted by renowned celebrities including the Kardashians.
The couple was sure to explain just how valuable the handbag was before carelessly destroying it.
"For the people who don't know a Birkin is the most sought after bag in the entire world there is a waiting list and some of them can run upwards of $100,000," the website states.
It also appears that the stunt may have be crafted for publicity for Eastwood's reality TV show and she instructs users to watch her show to see more.
"Check out MRS. EASTWOOD and COMPANY this SUNDAY and MONDAY NIGHT 10PM on E! Watch this bag get destroyed IT IS INSANE!" the website also states.
