Francessca Battistelli Shares Photo 4th Child, Reflects on God's Light in Midst of 'Death, Chaos'
Francesca Battistelli brought her fourth child into the world earlier this month and said she sees him as an example of God's light amid a season of division and death.
Battistelli, the 32-year-old Grammy Award-winning CCM singer, reflected on God's light in the darkness when she shared the first picture of her son, Wyatt Samuel Goodwin, who was born on Oct. 1.
"A season when the story is so often division and death, evidence of man's destructive tendencies has never been more apparent. While the world is at its darkest, our ever present God shines a light — life in the midst of death and chaos," Battistelli wrote on Instagram last week. "He has not abandoned us. He is not finished!"

Battistelli and her husband, Matthew Goodwin, welcomed Wyatt into their family of six, which includes their daughter, Audrey, and two sons, Eli and Isaac. In a previous interview with The Christian Post, the singer revealed that she once struggled with trying to plan every aspect of her personal life.
However, she has since learned that God had everything under control.
"I knew all along that God had something different for me but that was an area I struggled with when I was younger," she told CP. "I had to really learn that God's plans for us are always better. My favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11: 'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
For Battistelli, trusting in God wholeheartedly with her future has been the key to a life that is more fulfilled.
"If we could really live believing and trusting God with our futures and our lives knowing that He cares more than we do, we'd all live much fuller lives like He's called us to," she said. "For the most part I've always tried to live within that scope."
