“This list is not exhaustive and is expected to grow, but these legislative initiatives speak to a spectrum of issues important to life, marriage and religious freedom,” the Jan 31 statement read.

One of the issues listed by the FRC, the Child Custody Protection Act, received bi-partisan support during a recent Meet the Press showing. Senator John Kerry made remarks supporting the parental notification laws, saying children need to inform their parents in making the life-changing choice of abortion.

"Senator Kerry's comment, on the heels of similar statements by Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), shows that even the most liberal politicians got the message from last year's elections: families matter." Perkins said, "We will work closely with the President and both parties in Congress to pass all the legislation on our list."
