Free Conference to Help Women Grow in God

LAWRENCEBURG, TN. –Overflow Ministries hold a Christian women's conference entitled "What a Girl Wants" at the City Administration building on West Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg on Saturday. The goal of the conference is to help women discover the purpose God has planned for them.

"Women seem to be going through the same motions every day and are sometimes not sure what they want," said Cinde Lucas, organizer of the conference. "The sooner women realize what they need to be happy and can prioritize their lives around those things, the better off they're going to be.

The conference will run from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It will be open to women young and old from all denominations and religious backgrounds.

The morning session will feature worship leader Cinde Lucas who will present her results to a survey asking women “What do you want?”, Denise Bellavance, a Bible teacher, will be the overall leader for the conference.

"I got several short responses, such as 'I want change,' but many women are seeking more time with God, their husbands or children, appreciation, financial peace, freedom and abundance as well as how to have less stress and worry," Lucas said. "Our conference will explore ways for women to accomplish those things."

Women will also get to lift their spirits to worship songs as "Appointed," the drama and dance team from the First Assembly of God in Lawrenceburg, performs for the assembly.

After lunch, Bellavance will present sessions to help women set priorities and draw closer to God in daily life.

Although there is no admission fee to the conference, Lucas thanked contributions from Wal-Mart of Lawrence County and Giles County, Kroger, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Shoney's and Attorneys White and Betz. Any donations from attendants will also be accepted.
