FreeBible.com Kicks Off with Bible Giveaway
A new campaign to provide thousands of Christians worldwide with a free bible was launched Wednesday.
"The story of the bible is the story of God creating the world and making himself available to the people of our global village as they live their lives. God's good works and words as outlined in the Old and New Testaments form the foundation of faith, hope, love, devotion, and humanity," stated a press release. "As such, FreeBible.com believes that everyone who wants a bible deserves one and this new site is dedicated to furthering the word of God by giving away free bibles."
Debuting weeks before Easter, FreeBible is kicking off its Spring 2005 giveaway with a paperback King James version bible featuring both the Old and New Testaments, bound in a hunter green cover with gold-colored lettering. Rather than paying the $9.95 list price, those who want a bible only need to pay for a shipping and handling fee.
