French Montana Reveals He And Kanye West Changed Minds About Joining 'KUWTK'
French Montana is revealing why he changed his mind about appearing on his girlfriend Khloe Kardashian's reality television show.
Kardashian, the 30-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star, appeared with the 29-year-old rapper French Montana in his native New York City for their first joint interview with Power 105.1 FM's Angie Martinez. The couple did not shy away from being candid about their relationship.
Montana told Martinez that he and Khloe were introduced to one another by rap mogul P. Diddy and admitted that she had to change his mind about appearing on her popular E! Network reality television series.
"At first I was telling Khloe I don't want to be on it. But me telling her that is like trying to ruin her thing, because their show is really reality," he told Martinez. "So if she's coming to see me and I'm not on it, it's like 'hold up we got to do this. How much do we need, we gotta buy his time.'"
The rapper admitted that he was compensated financially for appearing on the show and even spoke about Khloe's brother-in-law Kanye West appearing in upcoming episodes.
"So that's the thing. I know Kanye didn't want to be on there too and they were like 'nah, do you care about this marriage,'" Montana said with a laugh.
Still, he admitted that some may question his union with Khloe because the pair are from two different environments.
"It's just two different worlds. I'm one of the best in my world, she's one of the best in her world it's two different things," he said. "I just feel like if you're a real person it don't matter where they put you at."
When questioned about the possibility of getting married to Khloe, the rapper made it clear that he is still in the process of getting a divorce.
"I'm going through a divorce actually. Yea, she's fighting for the money," French Montana told Martinez. "Every time I put an offer in she want's more so I gotta keep going back and forth."
Khloe joined her boyfriend's interview after some time when she was ready to pick him up. The outspoken reality television star had no problem answering questions with him, and spoke about why she decided to keep this relationship more private.
"You've got to keep some things, I've learned from my past a little more private," she told Martinez. "You've got to keep some things a little more close to your heart."
