'Fresh Off the Boat' season 2 episode 2 spoilers and pilot recap: Show pays tribute to Boyz II Men's 'End of the Road'
The second episode of "Fresh Off the Boat" is entitled "Boy II Man," the official synopsis reads, Eddie is crushed when Nicole, who convinced him to quit piccolo and tutor her, ditches him for another boy.
The episode will play tribute to the popular boy band Boyz II Men and it will be set to their popular anthem "End of the Road," which will feature a video homage to the original.
This season, the show will feature more 90s hits that will range from pop to grunge and it will continue to reference the OJ Simpson trial, which was ongoing at the time. The show will see the family go on a vacation together for the first time and a Huang-style Halloween. Eddie will man up, while Louis gets down to business. Jessica will also get down to business, while Emery will still be the awesomely smart one. Evan will not man up and remain the baby of the family, while Grandma's secret life will be revealed.
The first episode of the season began with the last day of school in spring 1995 and it took the viewers through to summer vacation. Eddie and his friends had their view of summer as a chance to establish themselves as the cool kids of 8th grade. Eddie had a new pair of Reebok Pumps that he was so sure would guarantee his cool status until it suddenly became uncool.
Evan had lost his baby tooth and was afraid of losing his so-called brand. Louis ended up taking the family on his business trip, which was really a secret vacation. Jessica initially took charge and had the kids ride on the free parking shuttle, instead of paying for the admission fee. Louis took over but ended up getting scammed. Eddie chickened out on riding the roller coaster but became cool after Nicole, the older girl he was crushing on, talked to him.
"Fresh Off the Boat" airs every Tuesday.
