'Fresh Off the Boat' Season 2 Episode 3 Spoilers and Episode Plot Recap: Eddie Becomes Depressed; Show Pays Tribute to Boyz II Men
On the forthcoming episode of "Fresh Off the Boat" entitled "Shaquille O'Neal Motors," the official synopsis reads, "Louis plans a romantic evening with Jessica for their wedding anniversary — at the car dealership. In other events, Evan and his "friends" help Eddie buy a hot dog-shaped water slide."
In the promo for the episode, it would seem that when Louis brings Jessica to the car dealership that the couple will come face to face with the show biggest guest star former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal. Young Eddie and his friends idolize Shaq as fans know. So it will be interesting to see how Shaq's guest appearance plays out.
The preceding episode began with Jessica as she woke Eddie up for school. She had chosen an elective for Eddie and it was Piccolo. Meanwhile, Nicole was watching a Boyz II Men video with her mother and she persuaded her mother to give some money to buy some CDs.

At school, Eddie and his friends got bullied by some 9th grade boys. Nicole sat with Eddie and his friends and she asserts her power as she strikes fear into them. In the meantime, Jessica visited Nicole's stepmother who was looking for some parenting advice.
Jessica told her that she does not need to be friends with her daughter. She said that she was not friends with her children or any children for that matter. She reflected on her Asian upbringing.
Back at school, Eddie and Nicole were walking down the hallway. Nicole told the teacher that Eddie was her tutor and they could hang out all day long and he could skip Piccolo. Jessica was not thrilled about Eddie tutoring.
Jessica ended up asking the teacher to give Eddie another student to tutor. Nicole ended up ditching Eddie in order to hang out with the cute student instead. Eddie became depressed and has been listening to the song "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. He refused to eat.
Jessica got advice from Nicole's step mother and she bought Eddie an alarm clock. She talked to Eddie about heartbreak. Later on at school, Eddie saw a pretty girl practicing inside the band room and Nicole stopped sitting with Eddie and his friends.
"Fresh Off the Boat" airs every Tuesday.
