'Friday the 13th' Gameplay News: Update Brings New Spring Break Costumes, Emotes and Game Fixes

The developers of the "Friday the 13th" survival horror video game brings players back to Spring Break of 1984 in a newly-released downloadable content pack through the game's latest patch.

The latest DLC is officially called the 1984 Spring Break Outfit Pack, and as its name suggests, it is filled entirely with new clothing options for characters that would match the spring season. Players should then expect to see swimming attires and other comfortable clothes that will let their characters try to escape Jason in style.

All of the camp counselors are getting their own sets of clothes with variations of t-shirts, lifeguard shirts, floral button-down shirts, bikinis, tank tops, one-piece swimsuits for women, swimming trunks and more.

While the DLC is not for free, players will only need to shell out $1.99 to get the entire collection of Spring Break-themed outfits so their characters will not look out of style this season.

Meanwhile, it was also a good move for the developers to launch the latest update alongside the 1984 Spring Break Outfit Pack since the new patch introduces "the new interface for clothing selection."

Once the new patch is installed, players can access the newly-added swatch menu to add more customization options for the counselors. Aside from changing to the newest outfits in the game, the latest patch will also let players select from an array of colors and patterns.

Developers have also added a new emote wheel to "customize where your emotes appear on the wheel." On top of this, developer Illfonic added eight new emotes that can be used for free.

Aside from the new features, the developers have also applied several game fixes in the latest patch. The issues involving the Grease Monkey, Heavy Hitter, Man at Arms and Tinker perks have been addressed. Developers have also fixed a bug that prevents loot from dropping after killing a Counselor in hiding.

Several Jason-related bugs were also taken care of, such as the ones that prevented the character from properly tracking the Counselors who have left the cabin and more.

The digital copy of "Friday the 13th: The Game" is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
