'Frozen 2' Plot News: Sequel May Have An Unhappy Ending

When "Frozen 2" was announced, the entire fandom rejoiced, but with news that the movie may take an unexpected turn at the end, fans may decide to drop hopes of seeing Elsa and Anna find happiness.

Frozen has become a part of animated films history as not only did it tackle the bonds within families but it also proved that love is a powerful weapon against any trial. In the first movie, fans saw a happy ending for the entire cast. However, a new report suggests that the sequel may bring a sad end that will break hearts.

In an interview with MTV News in August, co-director Chris Buck talked about what production was planning for the sequel. Buck mentioned that they are already in the early stages of development — which is good news since it means the movie will be released in probably two or three years.

However, Buck made a statement that made Movie News Guide think of the unthinkable. "So then we started thinking about what we could do with all of these characters in another film. We had a nice happy ending at the end of the first one, but what's next?"

The outlet says Buck's comments only mean one thing: fans will see a most likely bitter end for either one of the sisters or both of them. Because of Buck's question, the possibilities have become endless.

A lot of movies still became a success despite ending with a scene that broke hearts and left many crying. The same could be true for "Frozen 2," but since it is a movie that appeals mostly to the younger generation, the idea of a sad ending may not be a good one.

On the other hand, an "unhappy" ending could also be the turn that fans have been asking for, that one change that will probably put the sequel above the first movie that some critics think will never be topped at all.

While rumors and speculations keep coming, production is just taking it easy and prepping for when "Frozen 2" hits the big screens.
