'Frozen 2' plot news: Fans will see a different Elsa; Olaf gets a girlfriend

Details about the upcoming sequel of the hit animated movie "Frozen" have been shared, revealing that fans will see Elsa in a different perspective.

It was reported by Movie News Guide that "Frozen 2" will pick up where the previous film left off. Chris Buck, director of the film, explained that they will portray Elsa differently compared to how she was in Frozen. He said that since the previous film saw Elsa is such a difficult state, the sequel will have Elsa more open and positive about life, which was seen in the short film released a few months ago.

Meanwhile, Anna will also be a main focus in the movie, specifically her relationship with Elsa. With Anna and Elsa as two strong female characters, Buck hopes to maintain this while the film explores issues relevant to everyone. Buck explained further that they are happy to be back working on the characters again, as each character has a part of his own personality.

The original cast is set to reprise their roles with Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, and Josh Gad as Olaf. Chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios was aslo enthusiastic about the return of the film. He said, "We enjoyed making 'Frozen Fever' so much and being back in that world with those characters. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that."

Frozen 2 is expected to release by 2018.
