'Frozen 2' Spoilers, Plot News: Kristen Bell Teases New Characters Fans Will 'Fall In Love With'

Fans of "Frozen" should brace themselves for the follow-up movie because it's going to be more exciting, that is according to star Kristen Bell, who voices Anna. She teases there will be new characters in "Frozen 2."

Bell shared via Cinema Blend that she read and recorded her parts on "Frozen 2" recently. She admitted she grew more excited after discussing the sequel with director Jennifer Lee.

"It's very good," Bell said about the sequel's story. "One thing I will say, there are a couple new characters that you will fall in love with," she added.

The actress couldn't share who will play these new characters and Disney hasn't announced the cast. Confirmed to return, however, are Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf), who have also gotten back to the recording booth for "Frozen 2."

Bell further hinted that the sequel will show Anna's growth and maturity.

"We sat down and [the director] said, 'Within this context, what do you think Anna would be feeling right now, in this stage of her life?'" the actress shared.

Disney set the theater release of "Frozen 2" for November 2019 or six years after the first movie hit the big screen. Gad revealed in a Twitter post that the sequel will be worth the wait.

Back in 2016, Bell explained why Disney took it slow with coming up with "Frozen 2." Most studio heads usually think that a sequel should immediately follow if a movie becomes a big success and the first "Frozen" film was a billion-dollar blockbuster.

"It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging," Bell said. "I think they found it."

Meanwhile, fans of the animated film will get their fix if they watch Disney and Pixar's "Coco" in theaters. An Olaf short story, "Olaf's Frozen Adventure," will preview before "Coco" on Nov. 22.
