Fusion+Dallas Conference to Reach out to 20,30-Year-olds
Over 100 Texas churches and 60 local and international ministries will be participating in Fusion+Dallas, a conference designed for men and women in their 20s and 30s seeking for ways to live out their faith.
The event, sponsored by RightNow.org, a site connecting Christians with faith opportunities, will be held at the Dallas Convention Center on November 13.
For those who need more direction in fusing their life and faith, they can explore what options are available to them during Connection Café, a time where different ministries and churches introduce their work. Guides will also be available to counsel and direct individuals to an appropriate ministry.
Well-known Christians speakers are scheduled to present at the conference including Erwin McManus, a Los Angeles pastor who authored Uprising: A Revolution of a Mans Soul, a book which inspired the theme of the 2004 Promise Keepers conference; Gregg Matte, who created the largest collegiate Bible study group at the University of Texas A&M; and Coach Bill McCartney, founder and former CEO of Promise Keepers.
Nationally acclaimed worship leaders Shane and Shane will also join the musical line-up along with GRITS, a Grammy Award winning hip-hop group. According to the Fusion+Dallas Web site (www.fusionconferences.com), GRITS will talk about the metaphors they use in their music and discuss the evolution of a rap song. The duo will also teach the art of free flow and allow members from the crowd to perform during an open microphone session.
