Gaddafi Dead: Celebrities Tweet Witty Reactions to Video Footage of Libya Dictator's Death
The death of Libya’s former dictator Muammar Gaddafi has sparked a flood of witty reactions from celebrities who took to social media to voice their opinions.
According to news reports, the streets of Libya’s capital, Tripoli, are brimming with Libyan natives whom are rejoicing over the death of Gaddafi, 69.
While Libyans are busy celebrating, many international celebrities, comedians and TV personalities are sharing their tongue-in-cheek thoughts about his death via Twitter.

"Gadhafi Caught! Is there nothing Boba Fett can't do!" wrote E!’s Joel McHale, alluding to the Star Wars bounty hunter.
Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers also tweeted early Thursday, "And he was so close to making general #gadhaffi.”
"I hope they didn't get @realjeffreyross by mistake,” cracked former Full House star and comedian Bob Saget, referencing roast master Jeffrey Ross who previously dressed up in a flamboyant uniform to resemble the dictator at Charlie Sheen’s roast.
Of course, Ross followed-up Saget’s remark with his own tweet: "Moammar Gaddhafi is dead. He's survived by his brothers Larry Gadhafi and Curly Gadhafi.”
Eric Stangel, a writer for The Late Show with David Letterman, also weighed-in: "Oh great, now I have to choose which funeral to go to- #Gadhafi or the monkey with herpes. Life is unfair,"
Other celebrities tried to see the farce in the situation, like TV personality Piers Morgan who tweeted: "#Gadhafi has ruled #Libya since I was 4 years old. He's the Queen Victoria of despots."
Jake Fogelnest, a producer, writer, director and frequent VH1 commentator, took another approach and joked about the various ways the former Libyan leader's name has been spelled in the press, "I'm going to spell Gadhafi like this: QLX2¥PN."
Despite the assorted opinions, not every remark on the social networking and micro blogging service was comedic.
Journalist and TV personality Barbara Walters posted an interview she did with Gaddafi over two decades ago.
"Take a look at my 1989 Interview With Moammar Gadhafi, who was killed today by insurgents. Very revealing!" she tweeted.
That 70‘s Show star Wilmer Valderrama communicated his affection for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was candidly filmed exclaiming "Wow" upon learning of Gahdafi’s death on Thursday.
"US. S of State Hillary Clinton's a G! (GANGSTA), Love Hillary! RT Candid reaction 2 report of Gadhafi's death @CBSNews," he wrote.
Some celebrities voiced concern, such as Afrikaans singer Chris Chamelon, who tweeted: "These rebel guys randomly, incessantly firing their machine guns in the air... where do those bullets land? call the children indoors, now!"
TV personality and 5FM DJ Gareth Cliff combined humor and seriousness with his tweeted opinion: "If Gaddafi is dead, then the world is better now than before. A foster-parent of airline terrorism and a horrifyingly bad dresser."
As countless amusements, references and opinions from a variety of entertainment professionals continued to flood Twitter late Thursday and Friday, Steve Martin seemed to lay the icing on the cake with his understated post: "Lunch with Gadhafi, cancelled."
