Galaxy Nexus Release Date: T-Mobile Releases Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Nov. 16
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus tablet is scheduled to release on the T-Mobile network on Nov. 16.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will be the first tablet powered by T-Mobile since its own Google G-Slate tablet.
"Consumers want a selection of affordable, highly mobile tablets that can deliver the content they want virtually anywhere they go," said T-Mobile's Vice-president of Mobile Broadband and Emerging Devices Jeremy Korst.
"The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a perfectly sized, ultra-thin and lightweight 4G tablet that easily fits in a coat pocket or purse and delivers a rich on-the-go entertainment experience,” Korst added.
The 7-inch, 4G enabled tablet features Android 3.2 Honeycomb, a 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor, 1 GB of RAM, 3 MP rear camera, 2 MP front camera and Samsung's TouchWiz user interface on the 1024x600 display.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus holds 16 GB of internal memory and has a micro SD card slot that holds up to an additional 32 GB of expandable memory. T-Mobile notes that the tablet uses Adobe Flash Player for web content as well as Zinio and Blio eReaders for browsing magazines and books.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus requires a $249.99 down payment with a two-year contract and T-Mobile's Value Mobile Broadband plan.
Upon credit approval, owners must pay the remaining balance in 20 interest free monthly installments of $10. This brings the total for the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus up to $449 after the $50 mail in rebate, according to technology website AndroidCentral.
The T-Mobile SpringBoard tablet is also expected to release on Nov. 16.
Consumers can sign up at T-Mobile for more information on both the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and the Springboard.
