Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Model Verizon Release Date Coming Soon?
The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 model could see a release date for Verizon customers in the near future.
Documentation for a Verizon version of the device recently passed through the FCC pointing to Samsung's Note iteration debuting soon on the carrier's network.
Samsung unveiled the new version of the tablet during the company's unpacked event last year where the Galaxy Note 3 was also introduced.
"Last year's launch of the Galaxy Note 10.1 introduced the integration of S PenTM capabilities to the tablet category and created a new experience for consumers," said Travis Merrill, vice president of tablet marketing at Samsung Electronics America. "We continue to evolve the Galaxy Note experience with the new Note 10.1-2014 Edition. With premium software features and a sophisticated design, we're delivering an exceptional and even more engaging tablet experience."
The new device follows up last year's Galaxy Note 10.1 and features more impressive specs than its predecessor. It will come with a similar design to the new Galaxy Note 3 with stitching on the backing that is made from a different type of plastic
Specifications on the device include a 10.1-inch WQXGA LCD display, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 for the LTE version and a 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos 5 processor for the 3G Wi-Fi version, 3GB RAM, 16/32/64GB of internal memory, microSD support, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, USB, 2.0, S-Pen and a 8220mAh battery. It will also come running Android 4.3, JellyBean out of the box.
The device is Wi-Fi-enabled and comes in 3 different memory capacities including 16GB and 32GB versions. The lower memory model costs $549.99 and the higher memory version sells for $599.99. It comes in two colors-- Jet Black and Classic White.
