The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launched earlier this year and comes running Android 4.3 straight out of the box. Users not willing to wait for the update could easily pick up the new model and enjoy updated specs along with the new software.

It is currently available for various devices. Sony announced some of its own smartphones and tablets that will received Android 4.3 last week.

The company confirmed that the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will all receive Android 4.3 sometime in the very near future. Sony did not give specific dates.

Android 4.3, JellyBean was unveiled alongside the Google Nexus 7 tablet in the summer of this year.

Other Samsung made devices such as the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 have already received it in some areas. Google devices such as the Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus also run the new iteration of Android.

Many of those handsets will now be moving on to Android 4.4 KitKat which was unveiled by Google at the end of last month.
