Galaxy Note 2 Press Photo Leaks
The first official picture of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has leaked onto the internet today.
By looking at this photo, the device appears to look exactly like the white model of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Specifications for the device have also been confirmed for the Note successor.
The smartphone-tablet hybrid will feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 4 Quad-chip with all cores clocking in at 1.5GHz. Its rear camera will be 8 megapixels, and the device will have the same sensor as the Galaxy S3.
Samsung Pakistan might have prematurely unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 last week as a picture of a device posted on its website matched up to the rumored specs of the smartphone-tablet hybrid.
It claims that the device in the picture is a Samsung Galaxy S3, however, by a quick glance anyone can tell that this clearly is not that handset.
Samsung Pakistan notes, "Picture perfect view made even more perfect with Samsung Galaxy S3."
One hour after posting up the picture and writing this message the site quickly took it down and re-uploaded it with a caption that read, "Galaxy Note."
The device in the picture looks more like the Galaxy Note and features a display with nearly no bezel space. The next-generation Note is expected to have a larger screen, but be the same size as its predecessor, so this device matches up to those facts.
Korea Times also recently confirmed that the Galaxy Note 2 will feature a 5.5-inch flexible display. The publication states that the new Note will feature Samsung's Unbreakable Plane technology that allows extra battery space to be freed.
An official Samsung representative recently confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be unveiled at the company's "Unpacked" event scheduled to take place in Berlin on Aug. 29.
