Galaxy Note 2 Vs. HTC One X: Battle for Android Supremacy
The Galaxy Note 2 vs. the HTC One X is a battle for Android supremacy.
Both of these devices pack quad-core processors with beautiful displays and great audio systems, but which one is better for consumers looking to make the jump to a high-end Android device?
This discussion must start off with the fact that the HTC One X is a lot older than the Galaxy Note 2, having launched closer to the beginning of this year, so the smartphone-tablet hybrid might have some obvious advantages over the HTC handset.
However, the One X certainly is no slouch, with its gorgeous Super LCD 4.7-inch HD display and powerful Beats Audio integration for high quality sound.
The Galaxy Note 2 features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD screen that is beautiful in its own right. But in terms of overall clarity, the One X was victorious, as its display was much crisper.
The next issue to touch on would be the cameras of both devices. The One X and Galaxy Note 2 both come with an 8-megapixel rear shooter, but the pictures taken on the One X just looked a bit better than what was taken on the Note. The One X wins in that department once again.
In terms of overall technology, the Galaxy Note 2 is a bit ahead. It runs the latest build of Android 4.1, JellyBean in different areas throughout the world, giving it the ability to multi-task and utilizes popup windows. The HTC One X is still stuck on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich in some parts of the world.
Screen size could be discussed, but that really comes down to what you would need the device for.
One major advantage for the Note 2 is its S Pen stylus accessory, which differentiates the Note from the competition. However, it has not lived up to its potential.
The Note 2 is definitely for those looking for the latest and greatest in Android software, but if you're looking for camera quality and a sharper screen, pick up the HTC One X.
