Galaxy Note 3 Rumors: Device to Feature LCD Over AMOLED
The latest Galaxy Note 3 rumor points to the phablet coming with an LCD display.
Samsung has used AMOLED touch screens for the previous two Note models and now appears to be making a switch for the new version.
The company is currently unsure of what type of display to use for the device, and it is strongly considering giving it a high-quality LCD display from Sharp, SamMobile reported.

The S-Pen should be able to function well on an LCD panel, according to YouMobile.org, who also stated that LCD technology has improved greatly over the past few years. The only issue with an LCD panel would be its effect on the range of colors that will be available on the phablet.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 is also rumored to feature a 5.9-inch display.
The Samsung will release a device that is around 6 inches this year, and it could either be the new Note or a new smartphone-tablet hybrid line, a Korean media site reported.
This larger device is also expected to feature Samsung's Exynos Octa-core processor when it launches. This chip is rumored to be debuting on the Galaxy S4 that will be unveiled next week.
The Galaxy S4's release will provide some hints on the actual specifications that will end up on the Galaxy Note 3 when it is released later this year. Samsung usually builds both devices using similar components, and the company probably would not use two different types of displays on the smartphone and the phablet.
Last year's Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note two both featured a quad-core processor, LTE capabilities, and HD displays. They also came in the same colors: Marble White and Pebble Blue.
