Galaxy Note 3 Specs: Phablet to Feature Optical Image Stabilization Technology

The Galaxy Note 3 is expected feature some impressive specs, including a camera that has optical image stabilization technology.

This feature will help improve pictures and videos that are taken with the phone's main camera, according to a report from etNews.

Optical Image Stabilization comes with cameras now available on the market. The technology reduces blurs found in an image when the photographer moves too much during a shoot. It does the same with videos.

Galaxy Note 3 creators are also considering including 3x optical zoom capabilities on the handset, but this will increase the overall thickness of the device. For that reason, Samsung might skip that feature in order to keep the Note 3 thin and sleek.

Both of these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt at this time, as Samsung has not confirmed any information on the device at this time.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also expected to run Android 4.3, JellyBean.

The device was recently spotted on an AnTuTu Benchmark chart, and based on the model number which is GT-N7200, it is believed to be the sequel to the Galaxy Note 2 that's model number is GT-N7100.

The Galaxy Note 3 actually scored lower than the Galaxy S4 in this Benchmark. The Galaxy Note line normally features overclocked chipsets in comparison to the Galaxy S line. The finished Galaxy Note 3 should be clocked about 1.6GHz in terms of processing power.

A previous report points to the new phablet coming with an 8-core Mali 450 GPU, which will work well for graphic-intensive activities such as mobile gaming. The device will also pack Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa processor, making it even more powerful. Other rumored specs include 3GB RAM, a 6-inch full HD display, and a 13-megapixel camera.

The body on the Galaxy Note 3 will feature extremely thin bezels, which will basically be non-existent thanks to the enlarged display. The device currently has the potential to outshine Samsung's flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone that launched recently.
