Galaxy Note 4 Specs: Software to Feature 'Swipe to Launch,' 'Smart Fingerprint'

Samsung plans to add a few new features to the software for the Galaxy Note 4 including Swipe to Launch Motion Launcher and 'Smart Fingerprint.

SamMobile reports that the company is currently testing out a few new software features that utilize the Galaxy S5 hardware and plans to debut them on the Note 4. Swipe to Launch and Smart Fingerprint are just a few of the features that will come on the new software.

The Swipe to Launch Motion Launcher will be similar to the HTC One M8's motion launcher feature which means it could be used to swipe gestures on the screen to wake the display, launch the camera and more.

Smart Fingerprint could allow users to customize actions when a finger print in scanned.

Other features include Aqua Mode and a Multi Network for Booster. Aqua Mode will allow users to take pictures under water while the latter of these could make it have the same download booster as the S5.

Other Specs that could be for the Galaxy Note 4 appeared in a recently leaked document.

It showed that the device will have model number N910x. The X will be replaced with 0 for an Exynos device, 5 for a Snapdragon version, 6 for LTE and 2 for dual-SIM.

The specs found in the leak include a 5.7-inch display with qHD 2560x1440 resolution at 515 ppi. The document doesn't say if Samsung will use a YOUM flexible screen for the handset.

The leak also features specs for other devices such as the Galaxy S5 mini, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 Prime.

The Galaxy Note 4 release date could be in September of 2014.

A report from Business Korea claims that both the Galaxy Note 4 and Gear Glass will launch together in the fall of this year. The publication claims an unknown Samsung associate tipped them with this information.
