$1000 seems pretty steep for U.S. customers. The cost of the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will probably be slashed significantly when it finally arrives in the U.S.

The tablet is expected to be released through AT&T and will hit other markets during Q1 2014.

The new tablet made its debut during Samsung's event at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The NotePRO packs similar to features to other tablets in the Pro line that were also introduced during CES.

In terms of design, the NotePRO will feature the same thin profile and faux leather backing as the other Note devices including the Note 3 and Note 10.1.

Specifications for the tablet include a 12.2-inch Super Clear LCD display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash and Full HD video recording, 2-megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, GPS and GLONASS, an infrared sensor, 9500mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat and the classic S Pen stylus.

The device will also feature a Multi-Window ability, which will allow users to split the screen into between two and four separate windows, which replicates the multitasking capabilities found on a PC. It will come with Hancom Office, which is a word processing application that allows users to work on spreadsheets and presentations.
