Galaxy S4 Black Edition Released, Features Galaxy Note 3 Leather Backing
The new Galaxy S4 Black Edition is now available to customers in Russia.
This new version of the device features the same leather-like backing found on the Galaxy Note 3 and sports a strong black reminiscent of the Galaxy S2.
The rest of the specs found on the Galaxy S4 are basically the same as other models. Samsung also announced a Mini Black Edition that sports the same look as this larger model.
The Black Edition will launch next month in Russia at the equivalent of $660. There is no word on international availability or pricing at this time. This will be a hard model to push in other markets considering the fact that the company will launch the Galaxy S5 sometime in the near future.
The first picture taken with a Galaxy S5 camera could have been leaked this week.
@evleaks posted up a picture of what could be the first sample image taken with the Galaxy S5. It doesn't reveal anything about the S5's camera quality, but it does confirm that the device will feature a 16-megapixel sensor which jives with many recent reports.
The image was shared from the Flipboard news and social curation app by a user known as @123fliptest around three weeks ago. There is also EXIF data on the photo that reveals the resolution of the original file which was 5,312 x 2,988 which makes it around 16-megapixels.
The data states that the picture was taken with a SAMSUNG-SM-G900V, which could be Verizon's version of the Galaxy S5.
Another leak delivered courtesy of Sam Mobile reveals that the Galaxy S5 will launch for all major U.S. carriers including Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular. It will also be available on all major carriers in Japan, Europe, China and South Korea.
