Galaxy S4 Pink Model to Hit Phones 4u in the UK
A pink version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be released for the U.K. carrier Phones 4u in the very near future.
The color will be almost identical to the pink Galaxy Note 3 model and will feature the exact same specs as the regular U.K. version. There is no word on if the model will be available in the U.S. at this time.
This new model features pink front and back covers with golden sides that replace the silver ones found on other versions including the white and blue. It is currently available for pre-order from the retailer and can be bought for free when bundled with the new two-year 3G contracts of at least £33 or with a two-year 4G of at least £38 per month on U.K. carriers such as EE, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone.
Customers that pre-order the device in January will get a free wireless speaker that is worth at least £120.
The Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 update could begin rolling out as early as January 2014.
Samsung has not announced plans to release the software yet but SFR France hinted at when it will hit both devices. The carrier posted a smartphone blog that said the update will be available for both the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 sometime between late January and early February.
The actual release dates for the updates were not written on the blog. This same carrier stated that the LG G2 will also receive it sometime next year. Other companies should be releasing more information once the 2014 begins. It should start rolling out around the same time for all of these carriers.
