Galaxy S4 Zoom Launch Date Set for Later This Year on AT&T
The Galaxy S4 Zoom release date will be sometime later this year for AT&T customers.
A tweet released by @evleaks earlier today showed a version of the Galaxy S4 Zoom running on the carrier.
Specifications for the Galaxy S4 Zoom include a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with 960 x 540 resolution, 1.5GB RAM, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 16-megapixel camera with 10x Optical Zoom, a 1.9-megapixel front camera, Bluetooth, NFC, a 2330mAh battery, and Android 4.2, JellyBean.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom comes with Smart Mode and Smart Mode Suggest, which helps users take better photos without worrying about technical problems on the device.
Rumors that include specs for the Samsung Galaxy S5 are already beginning to surface.
A new report from the Japanese tech website Tech On confirms that Samsung is developing a lens that will improve the overall performance of the 13-megapixel camera found on the Galaxy S4.
The new point-and-shooter that will be found on the flagship's successor could be equipped with OIS, also known as Optical Image Stabilization. This technology will correct angular errors of up to 1.5 degrees and will double the anti-shake correction found on many high end smartphone cameras currently in the market.
The lens is expected to produce low-light pictures that are eight times brighter than what is found on the Galaxy S4. The new camera component will not alter the size of the device as its dimensions are quite similar to what is found on the current flagship.
This is not the first rumor to surface regarding changes being made to the Galaxy line's camera.
A report was released at the end of last month that said that the Galaxy S5 will feature an ISOCELL image sensor that increases light sensitivity and regulates the absorption of electrons which leads to higher color fidelity in poor lighting conditions. This will improve the image quality overall.
