Galaxy S5 Active Fan Uses Spec and Release Date Rumors to Construct Accurate Render
A new picture of the Galaxy S5 Active surfaced on @evleaks earlier this week and gives fans a first look at the smartphone's aesthetics.
The new image doesn't reveal much about the specs aside from showing off physical buttons, but it definitely derived from many of the recent rumors that have surfaced regarding the device.
The Galaxy S5 Active will most likely be released during the summer. A new video displaying the AT&T model hit the internet earlier this week.
A leaked phone with the model number SM-G870A appears in this hands-on video. It basically reveals Samsung's decision to follow the same blueprint as the S4 Active with the new model which will basically function as a water and dustproof version of the S5 with a more bulky and durable body.
The release date for the Galaxy S5 Active on AT&T could be announced in the near future as the device was spotted on the GFXBench website recently.
The listing revealed information on the handset that included the specifications. The device will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display which will most likely be AMOLED. This makes the screen slightly bigger than the version found on the Galaxy S5.
It also comes with a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory a 2 megapixel front camera and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The rear camera is 16 megapixels and takes pictures with a resolution of 5312x2988.
Most features are almost identical to those found on the original Galaxy S5 model. The main difference appears to be the dimensions as the Active measures in at 143x73.42 mm wide in comparison to the original which is 142x72.5.
