Galaxy S5 Rumors: Device to Feature a New Music Player
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a new music player that will be deeply integrated with social media.
This app is called "Friends Music" and appeared on a patent the company recently received. This does not officially confirm that it will be featured on the device, but there is a good chance.
Another patent recently received by Samsung allows users to perform one-handed operations on smartphones. This function can basically be used from any corner. Customers will be able to use one hand and select all kinds of functions such as apps, notifications, or favorite calls. This will work well on handsets with big displays.
The Galaxy S5 is also rumored to feature a brand new TouchWiz UI that gives the smartphone's user live updates.
Well known leaker @evleaks recently posted up screenshots of what is said to be the new software for the upcoming device. It reveals the changes that were made and shows notifications such as flight delays to deliveries. Samsung could end up using Google Now to acquire this data, but that is not confirmed at this time.
The leak also says that Samsung is currently testing this interface and that it is more than likely to show up on the Galaxy S5 when it launches later this year.
The Galaxy S5 unveiling could take place on Feb. 23 at this year's Mobile World Congress.
Elder Murtazin, a blogger familiar with Samsung products took to Twitter to announce the news.
"Samsung Galaxy S5 launch- 18.00. Barcelona. 23 February. Price the same. Launch- end of April. Specs- I know them :) new touchwiz ;)," he wrote.
He says the handset will be announced and unveiled on that date and will officially begin shipping by the end of April. Eldar Murtazin accurately predicted the launch of the Galaxy S4 last year so his Galaxy S5 information should be somewhat accurate.
