Galaxy S5 Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular Pre-Order Availability Announced

Samsung Galaxy S5 Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. cellular pre-order availability was announced earlier this week.

Sprint will begin taking pre-orders for the device today and it will ship on April 11. The carrier along with AT&T, and U.S. Cellular will charge $199 with a two-year contract. However, that price only comes after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Users can also purchase the Galaxy S5 outright through Sprint for $649 or use Easy Pay and pay $27.09 a month for two years. Sprint will carry it in Charcoal Black and Shimmery White.

T-Mobile will begin taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 on March 24 and won't require any money down. It will cost buyers $27.50 a month for 24 months making the total cost $660.

AT&T is also accepting pre-orders for other devices such as the Gear 2, Gear Neo and Gear Fit. The carrier will offer Gear 2 for $299, the Gear Neo for $199 and the Gear Fit for $199.

The Galaxy S5 will replace the S4 as Samsung's current flagship device and features what the company deems a "glam" design with a perforated back plate that shines in different lighting conditions. It will have full LTE coverage, Wi-Fi MIMO 802.11 to cut down buffering, and a download booster that will allow users to download 1GB worth of media in 30 seconds.

Samsung has also drastically improved the battery that now provides users with 10 hours of web surfing, 12 hours of video playback and offers a new Ultra Power Saving mode. This new mode can grant the user another 24 hours' worth of power if their phone is at 10 percent. It does this by only keeping necessary functions on and turning the screen to black and white.

Samsung also decided to install a fingerprint swipe feature that users can utilize for authorizing payments. It can unlock a special private mode which secures all important documents, settings and files.
