Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Android 4.1, JellyBean Update Now Available on Sprint
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Android 4.1, JellyBean update is now available for Sprint customers.
The software brings some enhancements and additions to the device including improvements to the notifications, and it will also bring Google Now to the tablet.
The update is currently available OTA (over-the-air), and the notification for it will be pushed automatically to owners of the tablet in the next few weeks. Once the update is downloaded, users will be prompted to install it, and the tablet will be disabled during the process.
The Galaxy S3 Android 4.1, JellyBean update is now available for Verizon customers.
This official version is slightly different from the ROM that was leaked during the first few weeks of February. It is 150MB in size and is rolling out OTA (over-the-air).
The update brings some changes to the Galaxy S3, including a fix on the Keyboard Predictive Text along with the ability to take a picture during a phone call. Phone notifications shown on the lock screen can also be refreshed with the adder ticker thanks to the update, and tweaks have been added to enhance Bluetooth and email syncing performance.
The Galaxy S3 Android 4.2, JellyBean update could be rolling out in the near future, as a new screenshot has leaked revealing information on the software.
If this screenshot actually derived from a true update, than the Galaxy S3 could soon have some new exciting features such as Smart Scroll, which allows the user to scroll up and down on a page using nothing but their eyes.
This same feature will be one of the main selling points of the Galaxy S4, according to an article published in The New York Times this week.
