Galaxy Tab 2 Android 4.1, JellyBean Update Now Available for T-Mobile
The Galaxy Tab 2 Android 4.1, JellyBean update for the T-Mobile variant is now rolling out.
This upgrade is available for T-Mobile users in the U.S. and must be installed using either Samsung KIES or OTA (over-the-air). It will give the tablet a boost in performance and battery. The Android 4.2.2 update for the device is expected to begin rolling out in June.
Developers known as Team BAKED recently released a new Blackbean ROM which actually functions as an Android 4.2.2, JellyBean Update for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
The ROM is compatible with the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 model number P3110 and it uses both the AOKP and CyanogenMod (CM) along with a few other sources. One key feature included in the software is the dark themes for apps.

An Android 4.2.2, JellyBean update is also now available through a new ROM called SlimBean.
This is the second build of the ROM and it brings many of the features found in JellyBean 4.2.2 to the flagship smartphone. It also fixes some bugs and optimizes the overall performance of the device.
New features available with the SlimBean ROM include TheRealDarkSlim Toggle, a Shiny new SlimSizer, extended quicksettings style options, new notification/lockscreen shortcut icons, configurable QS long press, NFC polling mode, fullscreen toggle, and the ability to customize charging battery color.
The ROM also fixes bugs including the Navbar back/menu firing after longpress actions, the NavBar "kill app" action killing system apps and crashing system. It also improves HTML5 audio playback and fixes the BT tethering label.
