She answered a fan on Twitter who asked if she will be in "Gambit." She merely replied, "No." With that, it can be confirmed that Rogue and Gambit will not be having their love story in the upcoming film.

It was confirmed that the previous director of the film, Rupert Wyatt, had left the project, as reported by Inquisitr. Wyatt explained that he left the project due to timing conflicts. He said, "I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Channing and the team at Fox, but regrettably a push in the start date now conflicts with another project. I thank them for the opportunity, and I know that Gambit will make a terrific film."
