The character she will be portraying is in her mid-20s. She is a childhood friend of Remy LeBeau, described as "beautiful, smart, tough, fiery, and unpredictable." The two were arranged for marriage, which was to unite the two guilds called "Thieves Guild" and "Assassin's Guild." However, the marriage does not go through because of Julien Boudreaux, Bella Donna's brother. His character was described as s a "malevolent potent threat," since he will be inheriting his mother's business. He challenges Gambit to a duel before his marriage with Bella.

The plot of the film has yet to be announced. But comic book fans believe that it will cover what was previously addressed. With his unsuccessful relationship with Bella, the film will cross over with the "X-Men," thus begins his relationship with Rogue. However, since Gambit is known as a charmer, their relationship will remain on-and-off.

The upcoming film will be under the direction of Rupert Wyatt, who worked on successful films such as "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and "The Gambler." The film's script will be written by Josh Zetumer, who also wrote the 2014 remake of "Robocop."

Written by Josh Zetumer, Gambit will be released by Oct. 7, 2016.
