'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Cast Changes and Grows
With the highly anticipated fourth season of HBO's hit period drama "Game Of Thrones" on the way, new casting announcements are being made. It appears that Michiel Huisman will be joining the show.
Word got out about Michiel Huisman being added to the cast when the actor's personal trainer posted a photo to the social networking site Instagram and said the actor was bulking up for a role on HBO's "Game of Thrones," according to reports by The Hollywood Reporter.
While there is little official information about Huisman's role on the show, The Hollywood Reporter claims that an inside source said he will play the role of Daario Naharis. This would require Huisman to replace Ed Skrein.
A role on "Game of Thrones" would not be Huisman's firs HBO role. For two years, the actor played the role of Sunny on HBO's musical New Orleans-set drama "Treme."
Most recently the actor has been featured in the recurring role of Liam McGuinnis in the TV series "Nashville." It is unclear if he will continue with that role on "Nashville" or not after he starts work on "Game of Thrones."
Huisman isn't the only recent addition to the "Game of Thrones" cast.
Indira Varma is set to play Ellaria Sand, according to Entertainment Weekly. It appears that Sand will serve as a romantic interest for Prince Oberyn Martell, otherwise known as "The Red Viper."
Like Huisman, Varma has worked with HBO previously. From 2005 through 2007 she played the role of Niobe on HBO's "Rome."
