'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Spoilers: King Joffrey Actor Jack Gleeson to Quit Show?

Jack Gleeson, who plays "Game Of Thrones" evil King Joffrey, is a 21-year-old talented actor. But it is rumored that his heart does not lie in acting, and the young star may be quitting acting all together. But how will that affect "Game Of Thrones"? Will he stay on board for the entirety of the hit HBO show?

It appears that Jack Gleeson will finish his run on "Game Of Thrones" before quitting acting, according to The Independent. Gleeson recently sat down for an interview with The Independent, where he discussed what he would like to do instead of act, and why he is not considering a future in acting.

"It was always a recreation beforehand, but when I started doing Game of Thrones perhaps the reality was made too real for me. The lifestyle that comes with being an actor in a successful TV show isn't something I gravitate towards," Gleeson said.

Gleeson continued cited his young age and his studies as reason to stray from acting.

"Since going to Trinity and garnering an interest in philosophy and with Goal and my theatre company I've kind of just re-evaluated what I want to do. I'm 21, so it's hard to decide what kind of course life will take," he said.

Goal is an aid organization that Gleeson recently traveled to Haiti with. He spoke about the organization and his ties to it.

"I'd been looking to use the celebrity I've got from the show to bring awareness for causes Goal supports. I had the connection with the organisation through my uncle, Tim Gleeson, and he worked with Goal in the 1980s," he said.
