'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Cersei and Margaery Rivalry Escalates

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 is expected to begin airing on HBO next year and already, a sense for how the upcoming season evolves has been revealed.

A panel composed of some of the "Game of Thrones" cast was present during the New York Comic-Con 2015 this week, answering fans' questions about what to expect in Season 6, and while actual spoilers weren't discussed, Natalie Dormer, Finn Jones, and Keisha Castle-Hughes gave fans a hint of what the upcoming season may bring.

According to Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell in the award winning fantasy epic, her character's ongoing feud with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) will continue to escalate. After her naked walk of shame from the Great Sept of Baelor to the Red Keep last season, Cersei is finally free from the High Sparrow's (Jonathan Pryce) clutches, but she is eager to launch a fresh attack on the person she deems responsible for her humiliating fall from grace.

Apoplectic Kevan Lannister (Ian Gelder) has been placed in charge and Cersei is planning to scheme her way around him, now that the overbearing Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) is out of the picture.

Still, Cersei is up for another trial for incest and fornication this time, while Loras Tyrell (Finn Jones) will be tried for homosexuality, with his sister Margaery doing all she can to protect him.

Cersei considers Margaery a threat, while Margaery begins to become more and more like Cersei in her bid to replace the former queen and become the power behind the Iron Throne.

Behind all of that, the Faith of the Seven, which is now dominated by the militaristic Sparrows led by the High Sparrow himself, threatens them all.

Dormer hints Margaery and Cersei may end up banding together against the Sparrows, pointing out that "my enemy's enemy is my friend."

Castle-Hughes also confirmed Obara Sand will be coming back in Season 6 and will be heavily involved in the plotline surrounding Myrcella's (Nell Tiger Free) poisoning in last season's finale.

Fans expressed the most interest on whether rumors were true Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) was still alive and would be returning to Season 6, but Dormer, Jones, and Castle-Hughes did not clarify the matter.
