'Game of Thrones' season 6 spoilers: Lady Stoneheart and Jon Snow to make appearances?
While the sixth installment is still a year away, "Game of Thrones" has given out some leaks on major twists and turns that fans are said to unveil in a promised "more fast-paced" season 6.
Premiere episode director Jeremy Podeswa told Yahoo! TV that while expectations are always high when a season begins, "What's great about this season is that there's very little expository stuff. It starts off with a bang and you're right into the excitement of the story."
It is worth noting that Podeswa was the director of season 5's Emmy nominated episode "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken," that saw the controversial and striking rape scene of Sansa Stark. The director is set to kick off season 6's first two episodes.
When directly asked about Jon Snow's appearance in the season premiere, the director avoided spilling any beans but said, "...the show picks up where it left off last season. That's all I'll say on the subject."
The upcoming season will be the first to overtake the novel series created by George RR Martin, "A Song of Ice and Fire." It is the first to depart from the string of books as the sixth novel "The Winds of Winter" still does not have a release date.
Meanwhile Irish Thrones, a prominent source of information from filming in North Ireland, has revealed that on Friday, major scenes were filmed in Shane's castle, the same location that was used for the High Sparrow and Winterfell dramas.
As rumors continue to pour in, the biggest rumor spilled over the weekend is that of Lady Stoneheart's most-awaited appearance. The same outlet revealed on Twitter that Lady Stoneheart will command an army as she comes back to the set.
Another rumor that excited fans and could probably solidify claims that Jon Snow will indeed make a "special" appearance in the next season is says Snow's origins will be uncovered.
The hit HBO series, which is currently being filmed in Belfast and other Spain locations, is slated for an April 2016 comeback.
