Gary Shirley Goes on Twitter Rant After Learning of Girlfriend's 'Other' Relationship
Amber Portwood's ex-fiancé Gary Shirley is single again after learning of his girlfriend's infidelity. Shirley went on a Twitter rant earlier this week before making the decision to delete the strand.
"Give a girl a promise ring after 9 months of dating, find out she's in a relationship w[ith] someone else after she said she broke up with them [expletive]! Lol the sad thing is I believed everything she said haha [expletive]! Told her she should act" Shirley tweeted Sunday night.
What really upset Shirley, though, was the fact that his daughter Leah, with Portwood, was involved in the relationship and was close with Kristina. She "really liked her that's what tears me apart!"
"I'm single and hopefully I find a girl in the future," Shirley added. "Not right now, but I'll give a year."
He still insists that there is no chance of a reunion with Portwood, no matter how much fans may want it. The two were often volatile together and did not provide a healthy environment for daughter Leah to live in. Shirley has sole custody of Leah; Portwood signed away her rights in order to prevent Child Protective Services from taking her away.
For the past year, Portwood has been in prison, serving time and battling addiction to drugs and alcohol. She specifically chose prison in order to deal with her problems rather than out-patient therapy, which she had previously tried. Portwood noted that she needed something stronger, like prison, to keep her on track and successfully completed her program in prison, earning early release.
Even though Shirley and Leah were there to greet Portwood as she was released from the facility, Shirley immediately shot down any rumors of a relationship starting between the two. They are both focused on their own lives, and Portwood is working hard to establish a career and regain joint custody of Leah. She has been enjoying spending time with her daughter again after so much time away.
Shirley deleted the Twitter feed about Kristina, telling Radar Online, "You gotta be careful about what you say about people."
