'Gears of War' Remake to Launch on Xbox One
Reports have emerged Epic Games' original "Gears of War" is currently being remastered for Xbox One.
The Epic Games' original sci-fi military third person shooter, "Gears of War" is being remade for Xbox One, featuring enhanced visuals and new cutscenes provided by Sydney visual effects studio, Plastic Wax.
According to Polygon, they got a first look at the stills of the remake's opening cinematic, showing the Locust invasion's updated visuals, improved lighting, and an increase in texture quality.

Epic Games sold the "Gears of War" franchise to Microsoft in 2014, and the company's Vancouver game developer, Black Tusk Studios is said to be currently working on the remaster and an as yet untitled sequel.
Microsoft was thought to have hinted at a remaster on all three "Gears of War" games last year, dubbed "The Marcus Fenix Collection," by Xbox chief, Phil Spencer. However, Spencer later retracted the statement, which was reiterated by Black Tusk's producer, Rod Ferguson in March.
The retraction was technically true, as only the first "Gears of War" game is being remastered, and has been teased for a June release this year.
News has also emerged, independent British developer, Splash Damage, who brought in "Brink," and "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory," may be behind the first "Gears of War" remaster," with Polygon saying the company's jobs webpage mentions the developer is currently working on a "very well known and highly popular AAA title with next gen technology."
The remake has yet to be officially announced, and news of its launching is still awaiting release. Reports added it may be unveiled as part of Microsoft's presentation at the E3 2015, highlighting first party games during the expo.
"Gears of War," which turns 10 years old next year, released its first game for Xbox 360 in 2006.
