Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have announced their baby boys' name as Rocky James Prinze.

It has taken a while for the couple to confirm the name of their baby but that was only to be expected as it took them a whole week to even announce the birth back in September.

Sarah Michelle Gellar gave birth to Rocky just a week after her 10 year wedding anniversary to husband Freddie Prinze Jr.

A week after the birth a representative for the couple made the announcement to Us Weekly: "Sarah Michelle and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are thrilled to announce that they welcomed a baby son into the world this past week."

"Mother and baby are doing great," added the rep. "Charlotte is very excited to be a big sister."

Rocky is the couple's second child following three year old Charlotte Grace, who was born on on Sept. 19, 2009.

The couple met on the set of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" in 1997, but did not start dating until three years later. They eventually married on Sept. 1, 2002 in Mexico.

Gellar is perhaps most famous for her starring role on the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," which has earned the actress several awards and a Golden Globe nomination. She is also well known for her roles in the 1999 film "Cruel Intentions" and 2004's "The Grudge."

Husband Prinze, Jr. is known for his role in the film "She's All That," but currently works for WWE as a producer and director.

Recently the actress tweeted to her fans an apology for being too busy to message them for a long time. She took to the social media network to post: "Sorry I haven't been on in a while, Been too busy with my new little baby boy. Thanks for all the messages :)"
