Players can move forward by employing crucial strategy depending on the tactical situation presented in the game with a choice over how they will approach the titans, either through direct attack or via stealth, being mindful of the game's sandbox-style levels.

The game will have a fully usable 3D Maneuver Gear to help players zip around to engage titans. While it can be convenient for reaching allies, it can also attract unwanted attention from the enemy whose vulnerable "napes" players will need to attack from higher altitudes.

Similar to the original anime, each character in the game will have a specific purpose, and as walls and roofs collapse affecting players' actions, the battle will be in a constant state of high tension with several scenarios spotlighting popular characters for story development purposes.

Players familiar with the anime will relive the complex "Attack on Titan" storyline alongside Eren, Mikasa, and other key characters in the story. Gematsu has employed its newly developed Physics Toon Shader to add graphical representation that effectively fuses the anime version to the game world, giving players the impression they are controlling the anime characters themselves.

"Attack on Titan" will be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita in Japan by December this year, and in 2016 for North America and Europe.
