General Hospital spoilers, Cast News: Ava's custody fight for her daughter might bring out the ruthless mob boss in her

There will be a serious overturn of power in this week's "General Hospital". First would be Michael Quarternaine is (Chad Duell) stepping up for Sonny, who is currently in a long physical rehabilitation process after the shooting. However, this doesn't seem to be the biggest change as spoilers by Celebrity Dirty Laundry reveal that it will be Ava Jerome (Maura West) who will make the most impact.

Viewers are quite aware that Ava has been resistant to return to such lifestyle, however, recent events will force her to do so with such ruthlessness that will surprise those who know her. After being forced multiple times by Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) to front the Jerome mob, she will finally embrace the chance to do this week, and she will make her grand entrance at the meeting of the five mob families.

It is expected that tensions will rise as this coincides with Michael introduction as well. It can be quite interesting how it will all go down, as Michael's personality is very different from Sonny. His collected demeanor will be his main advantage over Ava's feminine wiles, which Sonny and Morgan both spectacularly failed in.

Furthermore, one of the most affected in Ava's decision to take on the Jerome syndicate would be her custody battle for her daughter Avery. Going up against Sonny right now will more likely lean on his favor since he is out of the mob game and the potential dangers is far less that compared to Ava.

However, having powerful people on both their sides, Judge Walters in Michael's side while DA Paul is on Ava's, it can go either way. One thing is for sure though that is that Ava may not be able to handle another loss after Morgan and Kiki, and so losing Avery can trigger her ultimate ruthlessness. This power might temporarily blind her and lead to big moves that can affect anyone. West even shared with Soaps in Depth that, "What Ava really needs is love but if she can't have that right now, then she might focus some of her energy elsewhere."

For now, fans will have to wait and see what will happen on the "General Hospital" as it airs weekdays on ABC.
