'General Hospital' Spoilers & Cast Update: Jake's Real Identity Revealed, Jason Thompson Leaving the Show
Fans of the American daytime television medical drama "General Hospital" are finally going to see the characters find out about Jake Doe's real identity. After several months of waiting for it, Jake will finally find out the truth about him being Jason Morgan. And according to a spoiler report by Celeb Dirty laundry, the credit goes to Carly.
After seeing Spinelli's reverse face program, Carly figured out that Jake is Jason. But before revealing the truth, she made sure to validate it first by acquiring some DNA samples. The test result confirmed the truth so Carly will try to find Jake. However, she will encounter some setbacks along the way, including going missing.
Michael, Sonny and Jake begin to get worried about her and will try to find her. Jake will also help, despite the fact that he's getting married to Liz. This could possibly mean that he will be leaving Liz alone during the wedding.
So many other things are bound to happen on this week's episodes as noted in Christian Today. This week, fans will also see Sabrina turning down Michael after he proposed to her. Dante will also confess to Sonny about his affair with Valerie. Lulu will find out and lashes out at Dante.
Just before Liz goes down the aisle, Hayden will be approaching her. Surely at the end of the week, the show will leave another Friday cliffhanger.
In other news, a star is set to leave the show after playing a character on it for over a decade. According to International Business Times, Jason Thompson, who plays Dr. Patrick Drake, announced that he will soon leave the show and his role. He revealed the news in his Instagram account wherein he shared that it wasn't an easy decision but he believed that it was time to let go of his character which he played since 2005.
"I have made the difficult decision to bid farewell to a character I've loved playing for over 10 years," Thompson wrote. "It was not an easy decision but I feel like it's time to hang up Dr. Patrick Drake's white coat and scrubs."
There are no details yet on whether his character will be written off or if they will find a replacement, but it seems like it's not much of a big problem since the soap opera isn't lacking on characters. Other characters will also be returning to the show including Kimberly McCullough who plays the role of Robin Scorpio.
"General Hospital" airs weekdays at 2 p.m. on ABC.
