Gennady Golovkin Fight News: 'GGG' Still Clamoring For Mayweather Fight, Says 'No One Wants Pacquiao Rematch'
Undefeated Kazakh knockout artist Gennady Golovkin has been associated with Floyd Mayweather's name for a long time now.
Even before Mayweather retired last September, the idea of matching up the two elite boxers have been floated around. But for Mayweather, in order for the fight to happen, Golovkin should go through one man first.
"He's gotta call out Andre Ward, beat Andre Ward, then I'll fight him," Mayweather said in a March report by Edward Chaykovsky for Boxingscene. "I haven't seen him call out Andre Ward yet."

Mayweather then went on to make a bold claim, stating that if he were to come out of retirement for the second time, he intends to face the undefeated WBC world welterweight champion Danny Garcia.
"GGG" is currently slated to face fellow undefeated fighter Dominic Wade on Saturday, April 23rd at the Forum in Inglewood, California. At stake would be his WBA, IBF, and IBO world middleweight titles, as well as the WBC interim title.
A victory for Golovkin earns him a fight with the winner of the upcoming WBC world middleweight title fight between champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and challenger Amir Khan on Saturday, May 7th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Golovkin is faced with a tough task at hand in Wade, but he is already looking past his next opponent. In an interview with TMZ (as reported by Boxingscene), Golovkin once again floated the idea of fighting Mayweather.
He even went on to lambast the idea of a possible rematch between Mayweather and eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao.
"I am ready to fight anybody. I am champion," Golovkin said. "I'm ready for big drama show. [I would rather fight] Floyd [than Canelo]."
"[Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch], this is not interesting for people," he continued. "People watch first fight, [and it was boring]."
Golovkin currently holds a professional record of 34-0, with 31 victories by knockout.
