George Clooney Engaged to Amal Alamuddin; British Lawyer Flaunts 'Huge Ring' (VIDEO)
George Clooney is reportedly engaged to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin less than one year after his split from Stacy Keibler.

The Hollywood actor, 52, and the human rights lawyer, 36, are believed to have celebrated their recent engagement with close friends in Los Angeles last week. Alamuddin, who began dating Clooney in October, sported a "huge ring" during the event, according to People magazine.

"George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem," an insider told People.
"I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever," the source explained adding that the engagement happened "not that long ago, I think."
The couple first stepped out together publicly during an outing in London in October, three months after Clooney's split from Keibler. They have since enjoyed a number of globe-trotting jaunts including a trip to Tanzania and New York City.
Clooney, a successful actor and film producer, is passionate about humanitarian work and he has been at the forefront of advocacy for resolving the war in Darfur. Alamuddin, who was born in Beirut and raised in England, also has a philanthropic background.
"He's with someone who is a very accomplished attorney. She isn't someone who is pursuing a career in acting or entertainment. She's on his level," another insider said.
Clooney was once married to actress Talia Balsam and he dated Keibler, 34, for two years, however, both relationships did not work out. The former WWE pro-wrestler has since moved on and recently married Jared Pobre in Mexico.
"There's nothing really dramatic that happened, so it's all good," Keibler told Extra last July about her split from Clooney.
While Clooney's sister Adelia Zeidler, 52, once said her famous brother would never wed again, it appears as though Alamuddin has changed his perspective.
"This is the healthiest relationship I've ever seen George in," a source recently told Us Weekly. "He seems incredibly happy, and Amal is such a sweet and intelligent girl, who has her own thoughts and ideas and doesn't just bow down to everything he says."
