George Clooney 'Wouldn't Be A Good Father,' Says 11-Year-Old Co-Star

George Clooney would not be a good father, his 11-year-old “The Descendants” co-star said during the California premiere of the film, which debuts Friday.

Amara Miller, 11, plays Clooney’s daughter in the film, told Us Weekly that he would not be fit to play the role in real life.

"Let me just say, he wouldn't be good as a father," Miller said. "He wouldn't be the best as a father."

Although Miller called Clooney "really amazing,” she acknowledged that his current lifestyle and desires did not fall in line with fatherhood.

"George likes being an adult," she explained. "George has fun being an adult, and I don't think he would like having kids. I know that he's not planning on having kids anytime soon."

After the film was completed, the child star admitted that Clooney did not communicate with her anymore.

“We don't really keep in touch anymore,” Miller said. “He's George Clooney… No one really keeps in touch with him anymore!"

However, the young actress said she had a good time working with the veteran actor.

"He was just a really phenomenal person to work with, really amazing… so fun and [always] playing and fooling around and joking," Miller told US Weekly.

Clooney’s ex-girlfriend, Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis, mirrored Miller’s sentiments concerning her former boyfriend having children.

"George and I never spoke about marriage or children,” Canalis told an Italian broadcaster. “I'm not saying that I don't want them but neither he or I ever imagined having children together."

In “The Descendants,” Clooney will play a workaholic lawyer named Matt King who has to learn to be a good parent when his wife ends up in a coma. The film was adapted from a Kaui Hart Hemmings novel and was directed by Alexander Payne.
