George Zimmerman Bond Revoked, Ordered Back to Jail for Lying

The Florida judge handling the George Zimmerman second-degree murder trial has revoked his bond after prosecutors accused Zimmerman of "deceiving" the court about his finances.

Seminole County Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. ordered Zimmerman to surrender to authorities within 48 hours after it was discovered that he falsely represented his finances and lied about his possession of a second passport, which he apparently acquired two weeks after the shooting that killed unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, according to ABC News.

In a motion filed by prosecutors on Friday, they state that Zimmerman "misrepresented, misled and deceived the court" about a number of factors during his bond hearing in April.

Prosecutors reportedly came to the explosive findings after listening to recordings of phone conversations which took place between Zimmerman, 28, and his wife Shellie.

In the phone calls, Shellie cryptically mentions Zimmerman's second passport being in a safety deposit box that they shared. At one point she is at a credit union that was linked to his PayPal account, where prosecutors say that she was "intimately involved in the deposit and transfer of funds and money into various accounts."

Shellie reportedly transferred around $135,000 in donated funds from Zimmerman's PayPal account to a credit union account, which raised red flags because she had insisted that both she and Zimmerman were financially indigent.

The couple reportedly spoke in code throughout their conversations while Zimmerman was incarcerated, with Shellie deceitfully reducing the amounts in their financial accounts by a factor of 1,000, according to CNN.

Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in Martin's death and maintains that he shot and killed the student in self-defense. The Martin family, however, insists that a fair trial must happen to find whether or not he killed Trayvon maliciously.

Benjamin Crump, who represents the Martin family, spoke about Zimmerman's bond being revoked during a Press conference.

He stated that revoking Zimmerman's bond was the right move and added that the situation is a reflection of Zimmerman's credibility.
