Gerard Depardieu Urinates on Floor of Air France Plane Cabin
Famous French actor Gerard Depardieu has stunned airplane passengers by standing in the middle of the aisle, unzipping his pants and urinating on the floor of an Air France plane cabin, on Tuesday evening.
The 62-year-old father of four, who starred in popular film "My Father the Hero," was aboard an Air France plane headed for Dublin from Paris when the incident happened. According to reports the cabin crew asked the actor to wait until after takeoff to use the restroom, however, Depardieu could not control himself and responded, “I need to p*ss, I need to p*ss.”
According to a passenger from the plane that spoke to the French Radio station Europe-1, Depardieu proceeded to unzip his pants and relieve himself on the floor. The passenger also said that the actor appeared drunk.
The incident caused the flight to be delayed for two hours and Depardieu was escorted off the plane along with his accompanying passengers and their luggage.
The flight was operated by CityJet and the company made light of the situation this morning tweeting, “As you may have seen on the news, we are busy mopping the floor of one of our planes this morning.”
They followed up with another tweet, “We’d also like to remind all passengers that our planes our fully equipped with toilet facilities.”
Depardieu is a highly acclaimed actor and he made his breakthrough in the U.S. with roles in films such as "Greed Card" and "My Father the Hero."
Depardieu won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in 1992 for his role in Green Card and has also won many other international acting awards throughout his career including a French Legion of Honor.
Depardieu’s incident comes just days after U.S. Olympic Skier Robert Vietze urinated on a sleeping 11-year-old girl aboard a Jet Blue flight. Vietze told the police that he “did not realize” that he was urinating on the girls leg because he was intoxicated.
A statement has yet to be released by Depardieu if he was actually coherent enough to realize what he had done.
